Cheryse Jackson
Cheryse J. is a woman shaped by resilience, refined by faith, and called into purpose with divine precision.
Born in Chicago and raised in a loving one‑parent household, she learned early the values of independence, curiosity, and grit. Summers spent with her father’s side of the family immersed her in true “village life,” where her grandparents, Jewel and Andrew, taught her the meaning of belonging, discipline, trust, and community. Even as a naturally inquisitive child who always wanted the last word, she was unknowingly developing the depth and discernment that would one day define her calling.
Though gifted in drawing and once dreaming of becoming an architect, life redirected her toward medicine. At 18, she stepped out on her own in California, where triumph and hardship lived side by side. At 20, she survived a traumatic abduction and assault — a moment that changed everything. She rebuilt her sense of safety, refused to be defined by fear, and kept moving forward.
At 22, she relocated to Baltimore seeking clarity and a fresh start. The journey wasn’t easy, but adversity became fuel. She eventually committed fully to nursing, climbing from LPN to RN to NP, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees while navigating motherhood, setbacks, and relentless determination.
One of her greatest heartbreaks came with the passing of her grandmother Evelyn — her best friend and source of unconditional love. Losing her grandmother mid‑flight while trying to get to her in time devastated her, yet it strengthened her resolve to finish what she started. She became the nurse her grandmother always believed she would be.
Through every chapter trauma, loss, motherhood, education, entrepreneurship God’s hand was present with a plan, even before she recognized it.
And then, at 52, everything shifted.
Not a midlife crisis (though she did buy a Mustang), but a divine interruption — a holy nudge that said, “Daughter, it’s time.” She cried, questioned, and surrendered, realizing her life’s journey wasn’t just survival… it was curriculum.
Today, Cheryse stands as a Nurse Practitioner, single mother, entrepreneur, and emerging transformational life coach, guiding women back to their royal identity with humor, humility, and hard‑earned wisdom. Her life is living proof that:
- You can start over at any age.
- You can rise after trauma.
- You can build a life you weren’t handed.
- And you can laugh, heal, and thrive while doing it.
